Background Play with Android 9+

In Android 9 and newer, to help conserve your phone's battery life, Android has now included the option for you to restrict apps from accessing your data connection or actively running either while in the background or while your phone screen is disabled. Unfortunately, this feature is not compatible with the LiveOne app, as our app requires access to the internet in order to be usable while in the background or with your phone screen off. If you find that your LiveOne app stops playing music whenever your phone screen turns off or when you place the app in the background, this may indicate your phone has disabled this feature.

To enable this feature for the LiveIne app:

1. Select your phone's Settings app.
2. Select Apps.
3. Locate and select LiveOne in your list of apps.
4. Select Battery.
5. Set Allow Background Activity to On.
